National Football League/Waterford 0-12 Sligo 0-12: Gary Hurney's injury time point gave Waterford an unexpected victory over Sligo in a Division 2B clash at Lemybrien yesterday.
Hurney's 11th minute goal helped the home side establish a 1-3 to 0-4 lead at the interval. Sligo full forward Mark Breheny contributed seven points of his side's total tally.
Substitute Liam Ó Lionain added Waterford's second goal after 44 minutes. But Sligo rallied and late points by Seán Davey and full back Noel McGuire brought the visitors level before Hurney struck again.
