Waterford Utd - 5 Douglas Hall - 0: Douglas Hall's cup dream was shattered at the RSC last night when Waterford United went on a goal-scoring spree. They opened the scoring on eight minutes through Darryl Kavanagh and half an hour increased the lead when Gavin Doyle netted from close range.

Their third arrived on 64 minutes and it was that man Doyle again. He completed his hat-trick on 88 minutes from the penalty spot after he was taken down by goalkeeper Adrian O'Donovan who was dismissed by referee Tom Connolly. Their misery was compounded on 91 minutes when Stephen Grant completed the scoring.
