FAI Cup finalists Bray Wanderers were brought down to earth with a bang when Dominic Iorfa's goal gave Waterford United a vital three points in last night's tense relegation battle at the Carlisle Grounds.

Down to 10 men after Sean Riordan was shown the red card in the 65th minute, Waterford held on thanks to the brilliance of goalkeeper Michael Devine.

Waterford's goal was against the run of play when Jason Kabia and Robbie Griffin combined cleverly on the left. Nigerian international Iorfa took advantage of a missed tackle by Mick Doohan to shoot home from six yards.
