Champions Tour: Des Smyth and Mark McNulty were struggling in the opening round of the 67th Seniors PGA Championship at Oak Tree Golf Club in Oklahoma.
Smyth was two over par after seven holes, while McNulty was already in the clubhouse on the same figure.
That left them five shots behind Tom Watson and Jay Haas, who were finished, and six behind Loren Roberts, who had played nine holes.

US TOUR: Swede Richard Johnson, beaten in a play-off on the US Tour on Sunday, managed only a two-over-par 72 in the first round of the FedEx St Jude Classic in Memphis.
Johnson fell away after birdies at two of his first three holes and was eight adrift of early leader Chris Smith, the American's six-under 64 giving him a two-stroke lead over DA Points.
Chris DiMarco's hopes of qualifying for the Ryder Cup suffered a setback with a three-over 73.
