Golf: Thick fog delayed the start of the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles on Thursday. Play had been due to begin at 7.30am on the course which will host the 2014 Ryder Cup, but conditions were little better an hour later and a lengthy stoppage appeared inevitable.
With qualifying for next year's match against the Americans starting next week in Switzerland, it was not the strongest field in the event's history.
Of last year's side at Celtic Manor, only brothers Edoardo and Francesco Molinari and England's Ross Fisher were playing.
It was announced that there would be no play before 9.30am at the earliest.
