This weekend's matches
Today
LEINSTER CLUB SFC QUARTER-FINAL REPLAY
Arles-Killeen (Laois) v Tyrrellspass (Westmeath), O'Moore Park, 2.0 - Tyrrellspass had to recover from a first-half whacking last week, as their defence struggled to cope with the Brian "Beano" McDonald-driven Arles attack and Jason Enright kicked the consequent frees, a comeback facilitated by two sendings-off among their opponents. The Laois side were impressive holding Tyrrellspass's attack of the two Glennons and Martin Flanagan and they're favourites this afternoon.
Tomorrow
CONNACHT CLUB SHC FINAL
Athleague (Roscommon) v Loughrea (Galway), Athleague, 2.0 - After the controversy of recent weeks, Loughrea will be glad to get back on to the pitch and although Athleague won well in Roscommon, it's impossible as usual to look beyond the Galway champions.
LEINSTER CLUB SFC SEMI-FINAL
UCD (Dublin) v Rhode (Offaly), Parnell Park, 2.0 - UCD come face to face with erstwhile team-mate Niall McNamee after an encouraging result in Meath. Rhode have lost to the eventual provincial champions in the past two years and that experience should stand to them.
MUNSTER CLUB SHC SEMI-FINALS
Toomevara (Tipperary) v Mount Sion (Waterford), Nenagh, 2.0 - Mount Sion have the bigger supply of top-class performers with Tony Browne in great form and Ken McGrath set for a major confrontation with Benny Dunne but it's the length of the tail that more often determines club matches and Toomevara, for whom county under-21 captain David Young isn't guaranteed a game, looked the more complete unit when defeating Nenagh Éire Óg in the Tipperary final. Add in the advantage of venue - the Waterford side have apparently never played in Nenagh - and the Tipp champions are marginally favoured.
Erin's Own (Cork) v Wolfe Tones (Clare), Páirc Uí Chaoimh, 2.0 - Departed intercounty Titans Brian Corcoran and Brian Lohan are in direct opposition. Aside from Corcoran the Cork champions have experienced county players in Cian O'Connor at centre back and Kieran Murphy in centrefield whereas Eoghan Murphy's finishing was excellent in the county final. But the Shannon club look stronger down the middle, a spine that includes the two Lohans and Brian O'Connell up to centrefield and an attack with a good sprinkling of intercounty talent. The Clare champions have the overall clout to reach a first final in 10 years.
ULSTER CLUB SFC QUARTER-FINAL REPLAY
Clontibret (Monaghan) v Cargin (Antrim), Clones, 2.15 - Clontibret were disappointed with their display in Casement Park a week ago and manager Mick O'Dowd acknowledged they were lucky not to lose. They weren't so lucky with injuries - Niall Malone breaking bones in his neck - and lengthened their list of the unavailable. Even with home advantage the Monaghan club are looking stretched.
ULSTER CLUB SFC SEMI-FINAL
Errigal Ciarán (Tyrone) v Ballinderry (Derry), Casement Park, 2.15 - A complicated weekend for the Tyrone champions, who are awaiting the outcome of today's Ulster Council decision on Enniskillen's objection to last weekend's defeat on the grounds Damien McDermott got two yellow cards and no red. If they survive the committee room Errigal are up against a Ballinderry side that, if flattered by Mayobridge's no-show, were impressive winners of the quarter-final. Errigal scraped by Enniskillen and even though the Derry champions should win, it will be a claustrophobic encounter.
ALL-IRELAND CAMOGIE CLUB SENIOR FINAL
St Lachtain's (Kilkenny) v O'Donovan Rossa (Antrim), O'Moore Park, 2.30 - Rossa's complaints over the venue were unyielding and they'll need to build on the good semi-final win over Athenry if they're to reverse last year's defeat by St Lachtain's, favourites for a third successive title.
