Irish interests abroad this weekend will centre on the Dermot Weld-trained Make No Mistake who goes in the Group One Gran Premio de Milano in Italy tomorrow.

Third to Shiva and Daylami in the Tatts Gold Cup at the Curragh a month ago, Make No Mistake runs in this race in preference to yesterday's Hardwicke at Royal Ascot, although he is scheduled to face a tough opponent in Milan in the shape of the Prix Ganay winner Dark Moondancer.

Coming off a win in the Group One Prix Ganay, Dark Moon dancer will be out to continue his stable's rich vein of form. The Alain de Royer Dupre runner is expected to start a warm favourite.

On the same card, Weld runs Liseuix Rose in a Group Three he has won before with Moyglare Stud-owned fillies. Pat Smullen rides both horses.

But Signorina Cattiva, John Dunlop's Italian Oaks third, will be hoping to make her mark in the same race.

Richard Quinn's mount is part of a foreign quintet in the 12-furlong contest. Juniha and Alma Alegre may do best of the locals in a 14-runner field.
