A year after Wesley College and Mount Anville produced a Leinster Schools' Senior Cup final to remember at Belfield the same schools meet again this afternoon in the climax of this year's Esat Digiphone-sponsored competition at Grange Road.

Coach Maeve McCarthy is hoping to lead her Mount Anville side to their first success in the competition for 25 years, having been denied last March by Louise Tallon's Wesley - 2-1 winners in a thrilling final.

Such was the youthfulness of that Mount Anville squad McCarthy is able to call on 12 of the same players for today's final, compared to Wesley's six survivors from their first Leinster Senior Cup win in four years.

One of the six, midfielder Sarah Walker, was only passed fit to play yesterday afternoon, having not held a stick since being injured in a bruising semi-final encounter against Muckross Park last week.
