Vinnie Murray Cup/Wesley College (27), St Patrick's, Navan (3): Wesley College booked their place in the semi-finals in a one-sided affair at Westmanstown, Clonsilla, yesterday.
Wesley tallied five tries. The first came after just three minutes, when, from a lineout, hooker Julian Shaw received and dived over at the flag. Outhalf and captain Henry Micks was unable to convert.
Five minutes later St Patrick's centre Brian Sheridan landed a penalty from 30 metres.
Then, on 15 minutes Wesley grabbed a second try when, following slick handling, openside flanker Mark O'Byrne received and sprinted over on the left.
Ten minutes later fullback Andrew Slazenger grabbed the first of his two tries when he scored on the left.
Seven minutes from the end Wesley sealed it whenumber eight Darragh Lyons was driven over in a maul.
