SCHOOL'S HOCKEY - Leinster Junior Cup/Wesley College ... 3 King's Hospital ... 0: Having surrendered the senior laurels to Kilkenny, Wesley beat King's Hospital 3-0 at Whitechurch Park yesterday to add the Leinster Schools' Junior Cup to the minor and under-13 trophies.

Defiant goalkeeping by Graham Carleton kept Wesley scoreless in the first half but a minute after the interval Neil Lyons sent Owen Goodman through to break the resistance. Goodman also snicked home the second goal and Stephen Macken added the third from a short corner.

Although King's Hospital were worthy of a reply, a sharp save by Ian Walker denied Jonathan Orr while Simon Greene was also unfortunate not to score.
