A late scoring flourish helped Carlow see off a second-string Wexford side in their O'Byrne Cup senior football first-round tie at Enniscorthy yesterday. Wexford led 0-7 to 0-5 at halftime and stretched their lead to four points, 0-10 to 0-6, after 10 minutes of the half. But a goal from Johnny Nevin put Carlow back in contention, and Michael Nolan sealed victory with another three minutes from the end.
