Wexford 3-13 Kilkenny 0-2: Wexford showed no mercy when they dished out a severe beating to Kilkenny in their Leinster under-21 football championship clash, played at Nowlan Park yesterday.
The story of the game was simple, Wexford were much too good for a team that just could not survive at this level.
With five points from Gary O'Grady, a 25th minute Marty Kelly goal and another from Darren Foran in first-half injury-time, the winners opened out a commanding 2-10 to no score interval lead.
Kilkenny had to rely on two frees for their scores which came from David Herrity in the 36th and 51st minutes.
Foran, the Wexford left-half forward, went on to amass a total of 2-3 for his side.
