NFL Division Two B/ Wexford 1-6 Wicklow 0-6: Wexford turned the tables on Wicklow at Aughrim yesterday to avenge last month's defeat in the O'Byrne Cup at the same venue.
And the mystery is how Wexford did not win by a bigger margin as they were in command for much of this game yesterday.
The usually reliable Matty Forde at corner forward was wayward, contributing his share to their 14 wides. Wicklow trailed 1-2 to 0-3 at the break after playing with a stiffish breeze.
Laois referee Muiris Duignan yellow-carded four players from each team and sent off Wicklow's JP Dalton and Wexford's midfielder Eric Brady after the break.
