This will Phil Babb leave Liverpool or will he not business may not be grabbing quite the same headlines as the summer's Nicolas Anelka saga but it's dragging out very nearly as long. First he was said to be on the verge of a move to Derby but now the Daily Mirror tells us he's currently in negotiations with Wolves over a loan move, with Nottingham Forest, QPR and Ipswich all said to be on stand-by should the talks break down.

The Sunday Mirror, meanwhile, claims that Gianluca Vialli is making another attempt to lure his old Juventus pal Roberto Baggio to Chelsea. The move could happen, too, because all Roberto is asking for is a modest £50,000-a-week to leave Inter Milan. Peanuts, really.

Lazio, the Sunday People informs us, are prepared to pay Spurs £1 million for first refusal on Sol Campbell should he decide to leave White Hart Lane when his contract expires the season after next. Manchester United are also said to be showing an interest (probably a heightened one after Saturday's defensive display) and with Campbell still refusing to sign a new contract at Spurs George Graham might be tempted to take his money and run now, rather than lose the England player for nothing in the summer of 2001.
