Wicklow 0-13 Tipperary 0-11:Wicklow are through to the knock-out stages after they held off a strong second-half home challenge at Ardfinnan.

The victors were 0-9 to 0-3 ahead at the break - their scores coming from Paul Earls, Tony Hannon, Leighton Flynn, Keith O'Brien (two apiece) and Tommy Gill. Tipperary's sole provider was Declan Browne - three from placed balls.

Tipp restarted with two quick Browne scores, but Wicklow found their range through Gill and O'Brien to ease back into control. A brace from Browne left just four in it as the game entered injury-time. When Benny Hickey then raced through on goal, it seemed as though Tipp could yet grab a share of the spoils, but his effort was beaten away by Raymond O'Donnell.
