Wilson's Hospital were clearly the superior side as they defeated Gorey CS 20-0 in this first-round Leinster Schools' Senior Cup tie at Oak Park, Carlow, yesterday.
The Westmeath school established early supremacy and were awarded as early as the 10th minute when winger Kieran Brennan crossed for a try. It was 12-0 at half-time and having withstood strong Gorey pressure during the opening stages of the second half, Wilson's embellished their win with a fine try just on the final whistle from their number eight Fred Drion - his second of the match.
