Douglas golf club in Cork is the latest to offer full membership to women. At a Special General Meeting last week the members voted in favour of giving women the option of full membership. The category of Lady Associate will still, however, be an option for those not wishing to avail of the full membership.

The Douglas club are now in the process of rewriting their constitution to allow for the new three-tier system of Management Club, Men's Club and Women's Club and this should be finalised soon.
