Tiger Woods stretched his lead in the early stages of the PGA Tour Championship in Atlanta today, two early birdies moving him to 15-under par.
Woods is seeking not only to win the tournament, but also to triumph in the new four-event FedEx Cup, which the PGA Tour has loosely called a play-off series.
Woods leads the points list and will collect a $10 million bonus if he is still in front after Sunday's final round.
Woods is currently five ahead of fellow Americans Woody Austin and Mark Calcavecchia, with Sergio Garcia and Padraig Harrington six and nine shots behind respectively.
