Tiger Woods birdied the 18th hole to share the lead with Denmark's Anders Hansen after the third round of the Dubai Desert Classic.

The world number one carded a 67 for a 16-under-par total of 200, one shot ahead of South Africa's Retief Goosen who shot 70.   Three times champion Ernie Els was joint fourth after returning a 68 for 14-under 202 with Richard Green of Australia and Miguel Angel Jimenez of Spain.

Woods nearly blew it when he went for the pin on the 359-yard par 17 and ended up in the rough. However, he chipped out well to save the par.

On the 18th, Woods pulled his drive and overshot the green with his approach. He still managed to birdie the hole and catch up with Hansen who headed the field for most of the day before carding a third round 69.
