Pádraig Harrington trails Tiger Woods by one stroke heading into the third round of The Tour Championship at East Lake Golf and Country Club in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Dubliner, who needs to win the tournament and hope Woods finishes third or worst if he is to claim the FedEx Cup and a cheque for €6.8million, carded a one-under-par 69 today as his playing partner signed for a 68.

Harrington has overnight leader Sean O’Hair for company on four under, while Ernie Els is the sole challenger on three under after a 66.
