Alex Wyllie's last match at the helm provided his charges with much needed motivation for a game with nothing at stake. Under-strength Blackrock took nearly 50 minutes to open their account at a sun-drenched Castle Avenue, as their opponents notched up 20 unanswered points.

Wylie was full of praise for his side who had worked hard to avoid the relegation dogfight. "It was nice to be able to go out there knowing we didn't have to win to avoid relegation," he said.
