MORE than Spanish pride will be at stake when holders Zaragoza and Deportivo La Coruna clash in tonight's European Cup-Winners' Cup quarter final second leg.

A string of poor results have put Zaragosa coach Victor Fernandez under pressure and club vice president Alfonso Solans made it clear this week that his job could well depend on tonight's result.

"It's not normal that a team plays so badly the whole season, said Solans. "Fernandez has our full support until Thursday, but afterwards we'll see."

Zaragoza trail 1-0 from the first leg and their league form hardly inspires confidence.

Zaragoza lost their seventh home game of the season at the weekend to lowly Racing Santander. Fernandez apologised to fans after the game, as his team slipped to 13th.

Uruguayan midfielder Gustavo Poyet was carried off with concussion, but plays tonight. Xavier Aguado and Argentine Gustavo Lopez, however, are both suspended.

Brazilian Bebeto is likely to play for Deportivo after missing the first leg, having patched up his differences with British coach John Toshack.

Bebeto celebrated his return to the side with a fine goal in Sunday's 3-2 home win over Sevilla.

Zaragoza have not lost a European game at home for two years, but Fernandez admits "Deportivo are clear favourites. We just have to play sensibly."

Borussia Moenchengladbach travel to Rotterdam to face Feyenoord who have not lost to a Dutch side in European competition.

But they face a stern test tonight following a 2-2 draw in their home leg and the Germans will be without Swedish striker Martin Dahlin, who has calf problems.

But coach Bernd Krauss is boosted by the return after injury of defenders Michael Klinkert and Christian Hochstaetter and midfielders Peter Wynhoff and Karlheinz Pflipsen.

Krauss may bring in Dutchman Max Huiberts to play with Michael Sternkopf in attack.

Feyenoord coach Arie Haan is taking nothing for granted.

"Despite the unfavourable first leg result, Borussia won't be seduced into attacking football," he said. "They will wait patiently until we make mistakes."

Defender Henk Fraser is ruled out with an ankle injury and Swedish striker Henryk Larsson is doubtful with a strained back muscle. Dutch international winger Gaston Taument is set to return after missing Sunday's 1-1 league draw against De Graafschap with a pulled muscle.

Paris St Germain bid to score a French double over Italy as they entertain UEFA Cup holders Parma, who lead 1-0 from the first leg.

PSG will certainly draw inspiration from the Bordeaux triumph over AC Milan in Tuesday's UEFA Cup, when they overturned a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 overall.

"I've said it already and I'll say it again, Parma are not Milan," said PSG coach Luis Fernandez. "We can make it. I will tell my players to just go for it."

He will be without attacking midfielder Youri Djorkaeff and defender Jose Cobos through injury, but central defender Alain Roche is fit to return.

Parma, who have reached a European final in each of the last three years, will be without their inspirational striker Gianfranco Zola.

But coach Nevio Scala has some consolation with the return of Alessandro Melli to play along aside Bulgarian Hristo Stoichkqv in attack.

Dino Baggio, who has been drafted in as an emergency striker in recent games, returns to the midfield alongside Gabriele Pin and Massimo Brambilla.

Moscow Dynamo coach Adamas Golodets is in upbeat mood for the tie at Rapid Vienna, despite losing the first leg 1-0.

"Not everything has been lost," he said. "Dynamo will give Rapid a tough fight.

"In the European cups Dynamo has never lost two games in a row. All players are in fighting form and there are no injuries."

Vienna striker Christian Stumpf, who scored the winner in the first leg, is determined to book a semi final place before he serves a three match ban.

Stumpf, who was suspended after a last minute flare up in Sunday's league game against Admira Wacker, said "I've never looked forward to a match as much as I am to this one."

Coach Ernst Dokupil plans to field the team who won in Moscow.
