If you spend a lot of time on the go, then it is a good investment

Never underestimate the value of getting to drink a hot beverage while it is still actually hot. Ember has made a whole business out of it, with smart mugs that will keep your tea, coffee or other hot drink at a set temperature until you get around to drinking it. The only downside was the need to keep the charging pad handy. The original Ember Mug would keep your drink at the chosen temperature for up to 90 minutes. But the travel mug, which is designed to be taken on the move, will go for three hours without having to be placed on the charging coaster. That’s enough to get you through a full football match on the sidelines and then some; or deal with swimming lessons back to back while you have a cup of tea. You can adjust the temperature on the front of the mug, which holds a decent 12oz drink (or 355ml, if you are more of a modern measurements person).

The downside: it’s pricey. But if you value your coffee hot, and plan to spend plenty of time on the go with it, then it might be a good investment. Plus the lid is leakproof, which in itself is an investment worth paying for.
