According to Sonic Lamb, its headphones are “crafted for eargasm”. Having never experienced one of those before, I can’t honestly say whether they deliver on the promise, but the headphones have bold claims to live up to. According to Sonic Lamb, these are the first to use patented Hybrid Driver Acoustics, reproducing sound through air and bone body conduction. That allows the headphones to emulate a full-range audio driver and subwoofer system. A quick test shows that there is indeed a noticeable difference as you flip through the different settings – hear, feel, immerse and beast. Basically, you get some good bass, and the level you get depends on your own preferences.
They were quite comfortable to wear too, with padding in the right places.
The version I had for review were pre-release models, so not quite the finished product. I’ll reserve judgment on the build quality until the final version lands, but the controls felt a little flimsy.
