Sir, – In a letter of July 21st, CJ Woods from Co Kildare writes, “What motivates Brexiteers is English nationalism”.
Really?
I wonder if your letter writer is privy to the views of Welsh-speaking Brexiteers just across the water, Aberdonian Brexiteer fishermen, or even the Brexiteers to the northeast of Kildare whose nationalism may well be British (but is certainly not English).
Elsewhere in your columns readers are regaled with Brexit tales from British tabloids, but I would imagine that tabloid readers are less intrigued with nationalism than the shapely damsels and other delights on display. – Yours, etc,
