Sir, – Fintan O’Toole’s “15 steps” is the most sensible article I have seen written about Brexit in a long time (Opinion & Analysis, February 20th). The trouble is that the concerned rescuers of Boris Brexit’s cat Albion may well run out of time and patience, and so decide that the best solution to Albion’s being stubbornly stuck out on a limb is to chop down the tree. – Yours, etc,

All three columnists and Martyn Turner’s cartoon were excellent and helped recalibrate my thinking, which had become somewhat befuddled from events in recent times.
