Sir, – I was both sickened and amused to hear that the Restaurants Association of Ireland wants the HSE to carry out checks for restaurants not checking Covid certs, and also of recent reports of a significant number of bars also not checking same.
I recall both the restaurants’ and vintners’ associations calling on the Government on many occasions during the lockdowns to allow them to reopen and stating that their members would adhere to all health measures necessary.
Why do these associations not confront their own members who are putting the public at risk? – Your, etc,
