Sir, – Has anyone given Irish Water the Housing for All document? Irish Water is still stating that any application for service connections will take a minimum of 16 weeks for reply! Many planning authorities will not process a planning application without the Irish Water connection approval. In many cases, exorbitant works charges are applied by Irish Water to make the connection. The company will only allow the works to be done by their approved contractors.
Unless and until Government takes control of Irish Water, there isn’t a chance in hell of the Housing for All targets being met. – Yours, etc,
