Sir, – Further to "Ireland's cervical cancer samples still being screened abroad" (News, May 9th), is anyone really surprised to learn that a new four-storey cervical cancer screening laboratory at the Coombe hospital will be completed by the end of June but that the HSE says it will take "a number of years" (the usual deliberately meaningless term) to address a "workforce capacity issue" at the new facility? – Yours, etc,
