Sir, – The world will be a lesser place without Fr Kennedy O'Brien and Fr Joe Brennan – as will the letters section of The Irish Times ("Gonzaga expresses 'deep shock' over deaths of two teachers", News, January 8th).
Fr Kennedy avidly encouraged his students to write letters to The Irish Times and even had a wall in his classroom dedicated to his students' printed letters. Generation after generation of students were inspired to express their thoughts through your letters section. It is a sad day for Gonzaga; for Fr Kennedy's many past students; for the many future students who will not have the opportunity to learn from him; and for your readers.
