Think of the red squirrels

Sir, – I was disappointed to open my copy of the Weekend Irish Times to see a large picture of an invasive grey squirrel, which cause so much damage and harm to red squirrels, our protected native species.

Perhaps a photograph of a red squirrel could be published to acknowledge that there are many volunteers working hard to raise awareness of red squirrel conservation, who should be applauded for those efforts.
