Sir, – I note with interest that Minister for Health Simon Harris has advised scaremongers to "butt out" of the HPV vaccine discussion (News, August 31st).
I wrote to the Minister Harris on September 12th, 2016, to express my concerns about the various information emerging on the risks of Gardasil. I received a reply on May 15th, 2017, some eight months later.
The more the Minister and the HSE demean genuinely concerned parents, the less trust they will engender. I can assure you that I am not a scaremonger nor a member of any group engaged in “emotional terrorism”, as the director general of the HSE puts it. I am simply a concerned parent. – Yours, etc,
