Liverpool and Manchester City can be football's new clasico. Following Sunday's thrilling 2-2 draw at Anfield, Ken Early (Subscriber only) reflects on the rivalry and explains why Mo Salah's goalscoring rate should be reason enough for Liverpool to renew his contract. Salah scored a wonder goal as City came from behind twice to earn a point. A late winner from Jota earned Celtic their first away victory in Scotland since Valentine's Day and left Aberdeen without a win in nine matches.

Leinster did enough to win by the narrowest of margins against the Dragons on Sunday, thanks to a Max Deegan try, but the margin should have been far more at Rodney Parade. A decision as to whether there will be any citing arising from an allegation of biting during Munster's 34-18 win over the Stormers rests with the match commissioner Helen O'Reilly, who has 48 hours after the full-time whistle to assess video evidence and medical reports.

Kinsale golfer John Murphy kickstarted his young career with a top-10 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. The 23 year-old, competing in only his third event on the PGA European Tour since moving into the professional ranks, got to within touching distance of a dreamlike, life-changing moment. Shane Lowry put in a fine performance with a bogey-free final round 68 for 273 leaving the Offaly man in tied-fourth and moving him up 11 places to 18th on the order of merit.

Meanwhile, Dessie Hutchinson scored 1-9 from play as a blitzkrieg start blasted Ballygunner to an eighth successive Waterford hurling title at Walsh Park on Sunday afternoon. Check out Johnny Watterson's interview with Mikey Kiely here - the renowned strength and conditioning coach who played a key role in Limerick's rise to hurling supremacy is now relishing the chance to help Ulster build on strong foundations.
