Sir, – "Why are so many of our health services provided by charities?" (Second Opinion, Health + Family, November 27th) referred to the Health Service Executive (HSE) Annual Report 2016, which showed that the Irish Traveller Movement was in receipt of €5.9 million in grants made to outside agencies.
We would like to point out this is a HSE report error. The Irish Traveller Movement is not a recipient of any funding from the HSE. However, we are aware that there are 33 Traveller organisations countrywide that do receive HSE funding. – Yours, etc,
