Sir, – We glean from Harry McGee's interview with the Labour leader that Brendan Howlin finds nothing with which to disagree from Jeremy Corbyn's last UK election manifesto (News, January 4th).
He could have added that his new agenda of zero tax cuts, education reform and an NHS for Ireland, is identical to the programme of the Social Democrats.
If his “winning formula” election strategy is to move from his small electoral support by grabbing the SocDem’s 3 per cent, Sinn Féin has nothing to fear. – Yours, etc,
