Sir, – I fear Stephen Collins is wrong ("Bacik's win points to place for Labour in politics", Opinion & Analysis, July 16th).
While the Labour Party has a right to feel pleased at the result, it would be wrong to see this as a sign of Labour Party revival. Ivana Bacik won because she is Ivana Bacik. – Yours, etc,
